About Clearwater Beach: Clearwater Beach is located in Pinellas County, Florida, and is part of the Tampa Bay metro area. As of 2007, the population was around 7,000. It is one of the most popular beaches in the country and attracts visitors from all over the world. Tourist favorites include Pier 60, parasailng, dophin watch cruises, and the Clearwater Marine Aquarium on Island Estates.

Clearwater Beach is undergoing a major transformation with the addition of Beach Walk, which includes beachfront bike paths, shops, dining, and luxury hotels , all overlooking the white sand and Gulf of Mexico. The city has a webcam set up to follow the progress.
Geography
Clearwater Beach is a barrier island connected to Clearwater by the Memorial Causeway. Another bridge connect the island to Sand Key. There are marinas and boat ramps to accommodate boaters. In fact the city marina is home to the largest commercial fishing fleet on the central gulf coast
Transportation
Clearwater is served by two international airports, Tampa International Airport and St. Petersburg-Clearwater International Airport. The Pinellas-Suncoast Transit Authority provides bus service throughout Pinellas County and express service to Tampa.
